This Privacy Policy explains how Jonny Larsen For Congress (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the campaign”) collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us through this website, our sign-up and contact forms, our text-message and email programs, and our advertising (including Facebook/Meta lead forms). Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you sign up for updates, volunteer, contact us, or complete one of our forms or ads, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or mailing address, and any message or information you choose to send us. If you make a contribution, federal law requires that we also collect your occupation and the name of your employer.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically collect limited technical information — such as your IP address, browser and device type, general location, referring pages, and how you use the site — through cookies and similar technologies, to operate and improve the site and to measure our outreach and advertising.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• send you campaign updates, news, and opportunities to get involved, and respond to your messages;
• process and acknowledge contributions and meet our reporting obligations;
• organize volunteers, events, and voter outreach;
• operate, secure, analyze, and improve our website and communications; and
• comply with the law and protect the rights and safety of the campaign and others.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any other organization, campaign, committee, or advertiser. Your information is used by our campaign only.
The one exception is the trusted service providers who operate the campaign on our behalf — for example, our email and text-message delivery tools, website host, payment processor, and analytics and advertising-measurement providers. They may use your information only to provide those services to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the campaign, our supporters, or the public.
Federal law note. Federal election law separately prohibits any campaign from selling or using contributor information obtained from FEC reports to solicit contributions or for commercial purposes. We honor that restriction.
Public Disclosure of Contributions
Contributions are processed by ActBlue under ActBlue’s privacy policy. Federal law requires every federal campaign to report certain information about contributors — name, mailing address, occupation, and employer — for contributions that exceed $200 in an election cycle. That information is filed with the Federal Election Commission and becomes part of the public record. This is a legal requirement of running for federal office and is separate from, and not controlled by, this policy.
Text Messages
If you provide your phone number, you consent to receive recurring updates from the campaign, including by automated text message. Consent is not a condition of any contribution or purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help.
If you give us your email address, we may send you campaign updates and requests to get involved. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us at privacy@jonnyutah4congress.com.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our outreach. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended without them.
Analytics & Advertising
We use third-party tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to understand how our site is used and to measure how our advertising performs. These providers may set their own cookies. You can manage ad preferences through Facebook’s ad settings and Google’s ad settings.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, our site does not currently respond to them differently. You can still control cookies and tracking as described above.
Links to Other Websites
Our site links to third-party services such as ActBlue, our merch store, and social media. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, which have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmitting or storing data is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to run the campaign, and to meet our legal and recordkeeping obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Children’s Privacy
This website and our forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices & Rights
You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, reply STOP to text messages, and adjust your cookie and ad settings as described above. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at privacy@jonnyutah4congress.com and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated policy on this page. Your continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
