Jonny’s Team Needs YOU 🫵

Hi Friend,

We have less than 100 days until the midterm election!!

I Scream For Representation

Reminder, August 1st starting at 4:30pm is our I Scream for Representation fundraiser.

It will be hosted indoors as we expect another HOT day! Our yard signs will be plastered all over La Vonne’s front yard to make finding it easy. Come join us, pick up your own yard sign, and enjoy some ice cream.

Help support the campaign so we can get our message out to all of district 4. It’s not to late to invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers! https://secure.actblue.com/donate/i-scream-for-representation

What we need & what we did this week.

Volunteers

Volunteering for a campaign is challenging. Even more so when you are donating your time. We haven’t seen many large donations come in and I cannot afford to pay for expensive campaign management groups.

We need volunteers for the following roles:

  • Communications Director
  • Social Media Manager
  • Field Organizer
  • Handler

We also need volunteers to accompany us for events and town halls, and canvassers to phone bank and door knock. This is an ALL HANDS ON DECK request!

Parades

Sanpete County came out and delivered! The Pioneer Day Parades in Spring City and Fairview were so much fun.

I attended the fireman’s breakfast and enjoyed all the great conversations with everyone at the table.

We were very well received at both parades, and I always have a fun time getting the crowds riled up and cheering.

Check out our video of the parade here.

Rep. Kennedy votes for the war

Last week was another jam packed week of news. Mike Kennedy, along with the rest of our Congressional delegation, voted NAY on the War Powers Resolution. My heart aches for the families of the four American service members who paid the ultimate price for our country this month.

The day before, they voted in favor of a $95 billion blueprint to increase funding for the war. That war has Utah's average gas price above $4 a gallon and the price of oil above $100 a barrel.

The bill that passed to stop Congress from trading stocks only stops members from buying new individual stocks. What they already own, they keep, and they can still sell. It did not include the President, Vice President or the Administration. Bolted onto the bill were voter ID items that would directly impact Utah and our mail-in voting. It would require you to mail a photocopy of your ID in with your ballot.

Please check out our Facebook page to read more on these issues and many others.
