What we need & what we did this week
Volunteers
Working for a campaign is challenging. Even more so when you are donating your time.
We need to fill some specialty roles as well as have volunteers to accompany us for events, town halls, and canvassers to phone bank and door knock. This is an ALL HANDS ON DECK request!
KSVC 980AM Radio Interview
Last week I had a another great interview on KSVC 980AM in Sevier County. You can listen to it on their website here. It is listed in the July 2026 section.
After the radio interview, I was joined by the Sevier County Democratic Party at Richfield Park. I met with residents who came for the county’s free lunch program, Summer Lunch in the Park. I spoke with many of them, including a gentleman who aspires to make it to his 100th birthday. He has 6 more years to go. We had a great conversation, and he told me that he use to ride a horse to school.
The Devastating Fires
Rep. Mike Kennedy recently blamed the U.S. Forest Service for not doing their jobs well enough to fight these fires. In 2025 when he voted to pass the BBB, Kennedy and the rest of our Utah delegation exacerbated this problem. Visit my FaceBook post to read about how he voted to cut funds and staff that ultimately lead to the dire situation we face.
This past Monday evening, I attended the Widemouth 2 Fire Community Meeting in Millard County to hear updates about the fire that has now spread to Sevier County. I am thankful for and praise our firefighters who are working long and tiring shifts to keep everyone safe. They are fighting an uphill battle right now, risking their lives for everyone impacted. A service and self sacrifice for which I have the utmost respect.
Here are some photos from the Widemouth 2 Fire Community Meeting in Millard County.

I Scream For Representation
Thank you to everyone who joined us for ice cream and discussion. I met new supporters who are eager and excited to join and support the campaign. I got a lot of great feedback from everyone about what is most important to them and their representation in Washington, D.C.
A huge shout out to La Vonne for hosting and to our campaign volunteers for making this event possible. Without you, it would not have been the success it was. I appreciate everything you do. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
